Little Baby Sea Lion
2007-07-20	This little fella depicted here is only a day old, according to the public announcement made at the public feeding. He/she picked a bad day as a birthday: today was the hottest day austria had in ages with temperatures in the upper 30C (that is above 80F!) Therefore I cannot tell if a baby South American Sea Lion is supposed to look that way or if he/she is suffering from the heat.
Little bird on wire fence
2007-03-02	This little bird seemed to be very eager to have his picture taken. It landed right in front of my lens while I was taking pictures of the cheetahs - and I mean "right in front of" as in only 30cm away. I just couldn't let that opportunity pass of course. For everyone not familiar with this specimen: The wire it is sitting on is about 3mm in diameter.
Little Giraffe
2007-09-20	The vienna zoo has been blessed with an abundance of new "home made" residents: The Banded Mongoose, Sea Lions, Pandas and Giraffes all recently became parents! Still waiting to catch a glimpse - and picture of course - of the Panda bear though...
Male Lion
2007-03-02	Not much to say about this one - a male lion after rolling around in the wood chips on the ground. Since I have long hair myself I can imagine how hard it must be for him to get these things out of his mane again.
Monkeying around
2007-05-01	Since these monkeys are quite fast on the move, this particular shot in mid-motion was a rare one.
